Betty was one of Lorraine's friends in 1955. She had blonde hair, and, along with the dark-haired Babs, hung out with Lorraine at school and at Lou's Cafe.

Betty was portrayed by actress Cristen Kauffman. Kauffman, who had previously appeared in a 1982 episode of Family Ties, last appeared on the screen in 1999, in Agnes Browne.
