A CRM-114 amplifier was present in Doc's garage in 1985. It measured about 8 feet by 8 feet. When Marty McFly entered the garage to play his guitar, he activated it and blew the speaker out. Seconds later, Doc Brown called his own home, warning Marty too late that it might overload.

The CRM-114 is the nomenclature of the Strategic Air Command encryption/decryption device aboard the B-52 Stratofortress in the 1964 film Dr. Strangelove.
