Coyote Pass was a section of terrain along the railroad before Carson Spur. It could be accessed via Gale Ridge.

Doc Brown and Marty McFly climbed the ridge to reach the pass to catch up with a train that they planned to hijack before it reached the spur to send them back to 1985.
