Howard

Howard was the next-door neighbor to the McFly family in Lyon Estates. He was a forty-year-old, potbellied, unpleasant man who only spoke to George McFly when he needed something or wanted another person to berate.
He had a daughter who was a Girl Scout in 1985.

The DVD for Back to the Future shows "Howard" in a scene that filmed, but edited out of the final release. Biff has just borrowed and totalled the family car, and George tells Marty "And all I can say is...I'm sorry."; the scene then cuts to the dinner table, where George is eating a bowl of peanut brittle with his dinner. Between those two scenes was one, wisely cut from the film, in which Howard and his daughter pressured George into buying an entire case of peanut brittle. With George clearly established as a pushover in the confrontation with Biff, the "peanut brittle" scene proved unnecessary.
